Competency-based Interviewing

A competency-based interview is an interview where questions are asked about the skills, knowledge, and behaviours required for a particular role. Interviewers ask candidates to provide real-life examples of how they have previously handled situations relevant to key competencies such as communication, leadership, teamwork, or problem-solving. This approach helps predict future job performance and ensures a fair, evidence-based evaluation.
