Revenue Operations Analyst Job Description

The Revenue Operations Analyst will own the end to end reporting and analysis that powers go to market decision making. Day to day duties include building dashboards, maintaining CRM and sales enablement tools, improving quoting and billing workflows, and refining forecast methodology. The analyst will produce weekly and monthly reports, identify trends, and highlight risks to revenue so stakeholders can act quickly.

In addition to analytics, this role involves project work to implement process improvements and technology changes. The analyst will liaise with tech teams on integrations, support user adoption of tools, and document standard operating procedures. Collaboration with finance ensures revenue recognition and invoicing processes are accurate.

The ideal candidate is curious, detail oriented and comfortable working with large datasets. They must be able to prioritise work, manage competing requests and communicate complex findings clearly to non technical audiences.

Revenue Operations Analyst Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain KPI dashboards for sales, marketing and revenue teams.
  • Maintain CRM data quality, validation rules and segmentation logic.
  • Support forecasting processes and produce rolling revenue forecasts.
  • Analyse pipeline health and conversion rates to identify performance gaps.
  • Automate routine reports and tasks to increase team efficiency.
  • Manage integrations between CRM, marketing automation and billing systems.
  • Collaborate with finance on revenue recognition and reconciliation.
  • Design and document standard operating procedures and playbooks.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis to answer business questions and guide strategy.
  • Drive adoption of sales enablement tools and training where required.
  • Participate in cross functional projects to streamline customer lifecycle processes.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.

Revenue Operations Analyst Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, mathematics, computer science or related field.
  • 2 to 5 years experience in revenue operations, sales operations or analytics role.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI or Looker.
  • Hands on experience with CRM platforms, ideally Salesforce or HubSpot.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation and billing systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable writing SQL queries and working with relational data.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to senior stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and deliver process improvements.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a pragmatic problem solving style.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across sales, marketing, finance and IT teams.
