Medical Officer Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prescribing medications and monitoring their effectiveness.

  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.

Medical Officer Requirements and Qualifications

  • Medical degree from a recognised institution.
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Completion of a recognised postgraduate medical training programme.
  • Proven experience as a Medical Officer or similar role.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of medical procedures.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Knowledge of medical ethics and legal requirements.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Valid Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification (desirable).
